We Can’t Wait to Meet You!

The Collingwood Agricultural Society would like to invite you to join us for the Great Northern Exhibition and beyond. Every year we rely on over 200 volunteers to create the GNE and give back to our community. Volunteering is a great way to get involved, meet new people, gain volunteer hours and experience, and support a tradition that has been around since 1855. Our fair wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of people just like you.

Can’t make it to this year’s Fair? Sign up anyway! We have events and committees year round that always need people like you to run.

Already a volunteer with us? Log in to our volunteer portal to see where we can use your help fair weekend!

Volunteer Opportunities

Before the Fair
Every year the grounds undergo significant maintenance and tidying to not only enhance the experience for our patrons, but also ensure the safety of everyone on the property. From gardens to signage, we need hands to get everything perfect for opening day.

During the Fair
Shifts are available Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in different areas around the grounds. Our volunteers make sure the Fair runs smoothly and safely. Have an area of particular interest? Let us know! No one is left out – everyone has a part to play.

After the Fair
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and after the Fair, we need help to restore the grounds to their original glory. If you prefer a quieter way to contribute, this is a perfect way to make a difference.

Events and Committees
Throughout the year we have events that support the Collingwood Agricultural Society and the GNE, like the Christmas craft sale, the steak dinner and others. Sign up and stay in the loop of more opportunities to participate.

Volunteers get free admission to the Great Northern Exhibition at any time during the weekend!

Volgistics
The Collingwood Agricultural Society uses a volunteer management software called Volgistics to help us create databases and schedules for our volunteers and allows our people to sign up for shifts they want form their own portals.

Once you have submitted our volunteer registration form, you will receive an email with instructions on how to create a sign in for the portal. Don’t worry! If you prefer to be contacted by text message, this is the only email you will receive. Your portal allows you to update your profile, select shifts and enter your volunteer hours after the event.
